Kelly O’Connor founded O’Connor & Bennett Law Firm, PLC, in 2011. Ten years later, Kelly’s practice still focuses only on real property law and all-things probate, including estate planning, litigation, probate and trust administration and litigation.

In addition to the State of Michigan, Kelly is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Michigan, and the Nottawaseppi Huron Band of the Potawatomi. Kelly is a licensed Michigan Real Estate Broker and has held a Michigan Real Estate Salesperson license since 1996.

Kelly received her Juris Doctor from The Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 2011. She holds a Master of Urban & Regional Planning from Michigan State University (Go Green!), a Bachelor of Science from Central Michigan University (Go Chips!), and an Associate of Science from Delta College.

In her previous life, Kelly worked for a Fortune 500 company in the corporate real estate department on real estate acquisitions, managing building construction projects, and as a facilities manager.

Kelly is active in her community. She is a past president of the Cereal City Sunrise Rotary Club. She was elected to and served a 4-year team as a member of City of Marshall’s City Council and chaired the City of Marshall’s Zoning Board of Appeals for over ten years.

Timothy Bennett

Timothy Bennett

Tim is a partner at O’Connor & Bennett Law Firm, PLC, located in Marshall, Michigan. Tim focuses on probate and real property law.

Tim is admitted to practice in the State of Michigan as well as at the Veterans Administration.

Tim is a graduate of Battle Creek Central High School. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps shortly after graduating high school. While in the Marines, Tim was deployed to the Persian Gulf on-board the U.S.S. Theodore Roosevelt aircraft carrier. After serving 4 years in the Marines, Tim returned to Battle Creek.

Tim then began his law enforcement career with the Coldwater Police Department. He retired from law enforcement after serving his community with the Battle Creek Police Department for over 15 years. During his time working as a police officer, Tim received numerous awards to include a meritorious citation, lifesaving citation, and many professional excellence, unit citations, and letters of commendation.

He holds an Associate Degree in Law Enforcement from Kellogg Community College, a Bachelor Degree in Business Management from The Robert B. Miller College, and a Juris Doctor Degree from The Thomas M. Cooley Law School.

Tim is married. He and his wife Emily enjoy taking cruises and traveling on their Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
